Spring Swings

We were so excited last week when we went back to the park and discovered the swings had been returned. The first time we went to the park in the winter and found all of the swings missing, I was very confused. Had the park been vandalized? No, apparently during the winter here the swings and other moving parts are removed to protect them.
I took it as a very good sign that the swings have been returned. It seems someone has confidence that spring is on its way. The little rhyme I learned growing up, "April showers bring May flowers", does apply here. We are expecting a very wet month. Here a raincoat and rain boots are a good investment.
We look forward to lots of splashing in puddles and seeing what flowers May will bring.
