We spent the last Monday in May at Villers-la-Ville Abbey founded in 1146, though the earliest buildings no longer exist and all that remains are those rebuilt at the end of the 13th century. It was wet and raining, but the kids enjoyed exploring the dark rooms with their flashlights and running through the grounds and gardens. Truly a beautiful and fascinating place to visit.
