Somewhere in the middle of all of the craziness of our 17 days back home a very special little guy turned 6. We purposely organized the party well in advance because we knew things would be very hectic and they were. Thanks to everyone who made the day very special (including those of you who came over earlier to celebrate). Thanks to Uncle James and Aunt Ramona for sharing their rehearsal dinner with a mini celebration of our guy on his actual birthday.
Nathan,
You're such a super kid. You brighten our days and remind us of who we want to be. You are an amazing big brother (times 2) and we admire your patience with your sisters. We are so excited to watch you begin your first day of first grade on Monday. A whole new world awaits you in elementary school. It has been so much fun watching you take it all in in your way. You are always deep in thought and sometimes you share what is going on in your head, other times we have to figure it out ourselves. We love the way you love your life, your friends and your family. You have such a big heart and we are so proud of you. Happy Birthday to you (again).
Love,
Mommy, Daddy, Hannah & Sarah
***MINI UPDATE***
We are slowly adjusting back to Brussels time and amazingly quickly adjusting back to Brussels life. The nice thing about coming back so close to the start of school is that our friends and neighbors have all come back from holidays and our social calendar has been very full. The sun has graced us with its presence today after nothing but clouds this past week and we will be outside celebrating the annual barbeque with our neighbors this evening. Nathan begins first grade on Monday and Hannah begins PreK on Tuesday. It is nice to be busy again and surrounded by friends here when we can't be with family and friends we miss back home.
