B Words

So how do you read this? Daddy and Mommy read Nathan's school work separately and each of us read: (keep in mind, we were reading it with the understanding that he has recently started sounding out phrases and writing without help)

"Big bottle of beer".

When we asked the author, he said he was trying to write "butterfly". Ummmm, okay. On closer examination we realized he most likely was not writing about a cold beverage--but he probably will next time thanks to us. We told him what we read and he got a nice giggle out of it. Now whenever he sees his paper, he points laughs and yells "Big bottle of beer!"

No worries, totally appropriate while living in Belgium. Considering that this country is in full Carnaval celebration mode, it is very appropriate. Let us just hope that this is not the sign of things to come like a future topic of a college paper...
