Tada!

Last week Hannah's Little Gym class gave a performance for the parents. I did my best to videotape her while keeping Sarah from joining in so the recording is VERY shaky and sometimes sideways. Sorry about that! She is the youngest in this group. Most of them are 4 years old and moving on to the next class. She just joined this group after she began school because her old class meets during school hours. This class is just for the kids and she loves it--she was getting a little tired of the Mommy and Me version. This class is in French, but the teachers speak enough English to help when she doesn't understand. The teachers were quite funny giving a little introduction of each girl at the end. They said something like, "Anna* is just joining us and she has learned very quickly and she listens most of the time to try and do the things she can do. So we can now applaud for her!" (*She always comes home complaining that she has been called "Anna" rather than Hannah, but the Belgians have trouble with an 'H' that is not silent!) We will probably see a repeat of this performance at the end of June when this session ends. I'll try to improve on my video recording skills by then as I'm sure Hannah's gymnastics skills will improve. The actual music they were performing to was a little strange, but Hannah loved it. The words were something like, "Yay, yay, yay, yo, yo! Yay, yay, yay, yo, yo!" That song has been on Hannah's replay since Friday, but thankfully it replaced the replay of "We wish you a Merry Christmas" that has been going on the last few weeks. The favorite phrase of all of the little girls in the class is the title of this post. After they finish (or think they have finished) any stunt, they call out "Tada!" Not sure the origin of that word, but apparently it crosses linguistic boundaries!
