Six Candles

She has a sweet tooth and a temper like her mom.  She is a morning person all the way (not like her mom).  She can turn on sweet like a light switch when she walks in a room--the same switch turns it off, but mostly that switch stays at home. (I recently caught her batting her eyes at a little boy we know from church).  She gives hugs generously and in our house a "Hannah Hug" is a cure all.  She holds her own in fights with both her older brother and younger sister, but she can't stand to see either one of them in trouble with mom or dad.  She has a sense of fashion that can't be taught.  She puts a lot of thought into each outfit she puts on and has obvious confidence when she comes downstairs each morning.

Here she is shopping for her "bff" (yes, she knows what that means--kindergartner's with older sisters share lots of information) last week.  The boots she picked out at Marshalls last month--so many people have stopped and asked her about them--she loves it. 

She loves iCarly and Hannah Montana no matter how much we protest. :)  She sings the theme songs well.  She sings all songs well.

Her new thing is signing her name with a peace sign and a heart.  It is no secret that our similar personalities have made working together on letter writing and reading way challenging.  We're making progress.  She holds her pencil exactly like I do--much to my own frustration. :)

She carefully chose this gift bag full of girly products and one sparkly purple rubber ducky along with this card (a very over priced musical one) with a song by Taylor Swift for her friend's birthday party last week.  She is all girl and she loves to shop.  She is teaching me to love shopping with a little girl.  Dangerous since there are two of them. :)

She was surprised this morning with a pair of silver hoop earrings--something requested for a while now.  She also loved that Daddy put the birthday banners back up today making the kitchen festive for her day. 

She had a busy morning at school.  Handed out her pencils, got her birthday crown (seen here--with the added flair of my wedding veil), a pencil that reads "Kindergartner's are #1, and a "Happy Birthday" bookmark.  They shared fruit--she went with a pomegranate this morning--and made butter and paper pilgrim hats. 

She spent the afternoon playing with her sister, watching some TV in her birthday crown and veil saying, "I'm the Birthday Queen", and snuggling with me.  She was just happy to be Hannah today. 

She is a fan of gymnastics.

She took a lot of pride in creating her own feather for the class turkey.

She has grown up so much from this little girl wearing tulle on a daily basis. It was a sad day that I added the purple and pink skirts to the dress up clothes after realizing she didn't consider them part of her wardrobe anymore. (Younger sister doesn't seem to have the same affinity for them).

Love this six year old to pieces.
