Today Our Baby Girl is FOUR!
She's been all her own since the day she got here four years ago with her beautiful big brown eyes and all of that fluffy black hair. She keeps us laughing--she thinks Coney Island is an island filled with ice cream cones--why does she even know about Coney Island? She shares her sister's flair for the dramatic. She is absolutely left-handed. She thinks ketchup is a food group. She always mixes up the words "actually" and "accidentally". She loves her ballet class and preschool. She likes to know from moment to moment what we are "doing next". She so wants to be able to tell time and loves her Dora watch and her new Hello Kitty alarm clock (Thank you Aunt Susie & Uncle Howard!). She swims like a fish. She loves bath time, her sister, her brother and her dog. She gets away with entirely more than her older siblings did at her age. She always wants to know where Daddy is. She has forgotten lots about Belgium and so many people there. She has the best belly laugh and doesn't always ask for hugs, but rather demands them. She is able to turn tears on and off like a switch--again like her sister. She doesn't seem to care if her sock seams line up with her toes and is therefore slightly lower maintenance that some other people in our house. She celebrated her 4th birthday with three friends, her brother, her sister and her mom and dad at home with the usual low key stuff--cupcakes, presents, a pinata, a game or two, but mostly just time to play. She's four and she's loved like crazy!
