Fly Like A Cheese Stick

We're almost outta here...can't wait to see everyone and be anywhere between 30-60 degrees warmer.  The spring that arrived before the official date abruptly left.  It is sunny and we love sunny, but it is COLD.  To quote my facebook friend the weatherman, "It continues to remain about 10 degrees colder than normal with no warm up in sight".  If we weren't headed to Texas, I might have to un-friend that guy.
We have started making little piles of summer clothes and bathing suits in each room.  I'm procrastinating packing and cleaning which is why I'm blogging.
It feels strange not to be packing for longer than a long weekend.  This is the first flight for the kids since we moved back.  They are beyond excited.
Sarah's a little sad to leave her BFF behind.  We had to have an emergency play date yesterday afternoon.  I mean they had only seen each other on Sunday at church and again Sunday evening for small group and again on Monday morning at the gym.  Not to mention the kid's night out at the church on Friday night followed by a first successful sleepover by all three kids.  Our friend, Abby could be slightly crazy. :)  She hosted the kid's night out and proceeded to take all 3 of ours plus her own 3 home for a sleep over.  We had a quiet date night in Ann Arbor.  We were sure we'd get a phone call to pick up at least one of them, but nope.

Here they are.  Sarah Elizabeth and Grace Elizabeth.  Inseparable since we brought them back together almost a year ago.  They probably were in the same room at least once at babies, but it is hard to imagine them being any closer even if they hadn't lost 3 years.

On Sunday afternoon, Hannah graduated from her beginner ice skating class to a class two levels up.  She'll miss the first day of the new class this coming weekend while we're in Texas, but she'll pick right back up when we get home.  She is still loving it.
Nathan will start flag football in about a month or so.  It will be much warmer by then, right?  It has to be.

And now to explain the title...as I mentioned before, Sarah loves to sing.  She sings constantly.  She alternates between Disney top 40, regular top 40 (I have to change the station during the Your Baby Can Read commercial--so annoying and no, my baby can NOT read) and songs she's learned in preschool.  Yesterday she was singing "Oh Be Careful Little Eyes What You See" for the entertainment of everyone in Marshalls.  Anyway, last week we were driving home for another play date with Grace and the two of them were giggling in the back seat as usual.  Sarah started singing (very loudly) with the radio.  "You can be fly like a cheese stick".  It is actually "fly like a G6".  I had to look it up--a G6 is a plane.  Thank you urban dictionary.  For some reason when I told them it was "fly like a G6" that was hilarious to them.  A G6?  A cheese stick is way more fly to a 4 year old.
