How can our little Hannah Banana be two years old already? We are so amazed at the little person you have become. You are so full of joy and life. It is amazing to see how determined you are to do things your way. It has been so much fun to watch your little personality develop over these last two years. It is so unbelievable to see all that you have learned and accomplished in such a short two years.
Again we find ourselves humbled
that God has given us the privilege to be your guides here in this life. Sometimes we wonder who is guiding whom, however. You are quite strong-willed and at times we find that a tad exasperating, but we are sure that as you grow you will learn to use your powers for good. You have the most active imagination. One of your new favorite things to do is to put one of your socks on your little hand and sing the "Hola song" from your Spanish class, "Como la rana" as Senora Ruth says. Taking your shoes and socks off is one of your favorite pass times, no matter what the temperature might be or how inconvenient it might be to put them back on so that we can get anywhere on time. You move at your own little pace and have learned to do almost everything by yourself. You are my little helper. When I do laundry or load the dishwasher, you are right there, "I help, Mommy".
You are very interested in all things baby and we are very excited to introduce you to your new baby sister. We love to hear you say, "Good night, Sawah", in your sweet voice. Each night after you tell each of us good night, you then say, "Thank you God" for each of us and include Dora, Swiper, Diego and Boots, of course. Then we move on to "Wuv you, Mommy, wuv you Nay nay, wuv you Daddy, wuv you Max, wuv you Sawah..." Waiting each time for us to reply we love you to or to be told, "Max and Sawah wuv you too!"
You adore Daddy. He is the sun and the moon in your little world and he feels the same way about you. Daddy can put you to bed when no one else can. Daddy makes everything feel better. The first words out of your mouth each morning are, "What Daddy doing?"
You and your brother love to play together and sometimes you both get a little rough, but you are able to hold your own. You both love each other so much. It was hard for you when he started preschool this fall, but you have adjusted well. You excitedly yell, "School!" when we pull in the parking lot, just like Nathan does. You are so eager to share in his joy and every part of his life.
You are such a blessing and we are so thrilled to be able to share in every minute as you grow up. We have joked each year that your are our turkey baby since you celebrate your birthday so close to Thanksgiving. This year, you can say turkey and when we ask who the turkey is, you smile and point at yourself. "I Hannah", you say when talking to Daddy or Papa on the phone. We love you so much and are excited to watch as you grow and listen as you fill our house with your laughter and words. Happy 2nd Birthday to our sweet little Hannah. Have a wonderful, happy day and we all look forward to another blessed year with you in our lives. Our cup overflows.
Love you so much, Mommy, Daddy, Nathan & Sarah
