One Week in a Winter Wonderland

It appears the usual Belgium winter weather consisting of temperatures hovering right above or just below freezing with very gray skies, misty rain and soggy grass has returned...but we had one week of something different. Like a vacation without having to pack or drive. It was beautiful and amazing and so much fun!

Lest we forget a quickly approaching date, this little person recently started breaking out into "Happy Birthday" just about any time. We're not sure if this has carried over from singing to her sister in November or if she learned from her friend, Avery, who celebrated not only her birthday, but both of her brothers' birthdays, her Dad's birthday and Jesus' birthday all in one month. On New Year's Eve I overheard Avery singing this very song and commented to her mom that I was impressed at how well she knows it. Her mom said she was sure her children would be going through withdrawals from presents and celebrations in the month of January (they also celebrate Hanukkah!)

Looks very cold but fun!

Julia did the same thing with the happy birthday song. I heard her humming it one day and have no idea where she got it from. Our girls just must be geniuses:)
