Then checked out the movie room, play room,
arcade...there was a lot to do on this boat!
Four hours later, we arrived in Waterford at what was apparently a fairly late dinner hour for
the Irish. We found the one McDonald's which closed at 7:30 PM...15 minutes too late. Just down the street we discovered the McDowell's of Ireland. It was called SuperMac's and the menu was so, so familiar, yet just different enough to avoid a lawsuit. So we ordered our "Big Mic's" and headed to the B&B for some much needed rest.
Then on to visit the Blarney Castle.
We wound our way up to the top of the castle
where we waited in line to kiss the stone. The
dads kissed it, but the moms were just a tad
paranoid and eager to get the same number of
children down as we took up this 600 year old
structure with warnings about climbing at our
"own risk" posted throughout.
6 kids safely at the bottom. The grounds were
beautiful and perfect for photo ops.
Beautiful day. Beautiful daffodils.
After exploring the grounds and then doing a little shopping at the Blarney Woolen Mills, we enjoyed some Bulmers and sunshine. Day 3 of our trip ended in another amazing B&B in Cork where...
we all started day four with a great breakfast
and a strong cup of coffee before heading to Dingle.
(Well, some of us may have had a strong cup of milk).
To be continued, yet again...
